Yes, HE had to return to his heavenly, glorious stature from whence HE had come. But, HE did not leave without providing another advocate, whom HE called, "The Comforter". He made request of the FATHER to send to earth Another COMFORTER, so HIS "little flock" as HE at times called us, would not be comfortless. Only those who believe, though, can receive of this comfort -- this loving and caring gift of the HOLY SPIRIT. For HE, this SPIRIT OF TRUTH, can only abide in a heart of truth, a believing faith-filled heart. Only those who are prepared to believe and receive the TRUTH can receive HIM. The believer that hath HIS commandments and keepeth them, then, says HE, that believer loves HIM. And, HE has promised thus, this believer shall forever be in HIS presence: for HE shall love him, the believer; and the believer shall in turn be loved by HIS FATHER; and HE CHRIST JESUS, will in turn not only love that precious soul, but will "manifest:reveal" HIMSELF to that believing saint. Precious promises, are what these are called -- encouraging conditions for a believer to be in the presence of the LORD JESUS CHRIST. To believe, to obey to trust, to be faithful, to be GOD-fearing is to love HIM: is to keep HIS words/commandments; and for being true to HIM, another precious promise HE made is this: the SON OF GOD and the GODHEAD (FATHER) HIMSELF will come and abide in you, the believer.
